CloseSubhasis Das is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager within the Strategic Investments asset class at the State Board of Administration of Florida (SBA). Subhasis’ primary responsibilities are researching, sourcing and oversight for a variety of hedge fund and private credit strategies. Prior to his current role, he spent ten years as the Director of Research in the Global Equity asset class where his responsibilities included analysis of global equity portfolios, researching portfolio strategies, oversight of external active managers and asset class risk management. Subhasis worked as a business economist for government agencies and a bank before his time at the SBA. Subhasis’ educational background consists of a PhD degree in economics, a MBA and a MS in computer science.
Cate is responsible for business development with prospects in the UK & Ireland. Before joining Securis in June 2019, Cate worked at Spinnaker Capital from 2015-2019 as Head of Business Development and a non-voting member of the Investment Committees. Prior to that she worked at Brevan Howard Asset Management initiating and maintaining institutional relationships in the United Kingdom, Asia (ex-Japan), Australia and the Middle East. From 2007-2009, she worked at Gottex Fund Management initiating and maintaining institutional relationships in the United Kingdom and France. Cate began her career in 2006 at ZAN Partners where she was responsible for the global fundraising effort for the ZAN Alpha Fund. She holds a BA in Economics and French from Columbia University.
James Turner is an Investment Manager within the Private Markets team at RPMI Railpen, one of the UK’s largest and longest established pension funds with assets of circa £30 billion. He focuses on originating, structuring and executing investments within both private markets and insurance-linked strategies.
Before joining Railpen in 2019, James was an Investment Consultant at Willis Towers Watson in the Investments Manager Research team, focusing on hedge funds and insurance-linked strategies.
James is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and has a BSc MMORSE (Hons) from the University of Warwick.
