Richard Lowther has been involved in the re/insurance convergence and ILS market for over 20 years. Most recently Richard was the Managing Principal of Hiscox Insurance Linked Strategies, which he helped form in early 2014. In 2008 Richard helped found AlphaCat Managers, the Validus/ AIG ILS fund manager. Having launched two reinsurer-owned ILS platforms across various parts of the cycle, Richard brings a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of ILS hybrid model. Recently he has left Hiscox to embark on his next ILS start-up adventure.
